A big chill has descended upon a group of Barcelona thirtysomething friends. Six months before, their cherished friend Litus inexplicably took his own life. His loving friends gather to celebrate his memory, but a bombshell secret awaits them: Litus left behind a goodbye letter for each of them.

The prospect of reading Litus’ last words is a dramatic reckoning for each member of the group, as they confront their own denials and hidden feelings. Director Dani de la Orden, the director of the hit The Best Summer of My Life, brilliantly directs a stellar ensemble all working at the top of their game, including Spanish stars Quim Gutiérrez, Belén Cuesta, Miquel Fernández, Alex García (a Miami Film Festival favorite from his 2015 visit with the Audience Award-winning Kamikaze), Adrián Lastra and Marta Nieto.

A moving drama with impeccably timed moments of humor, Litus is an invitation to reflect on life, relationships and our connections to those we hold most dear in life.

This screening is sponsored by ViendoMovies available with Xfinity and FlixLatino.

The promotional poster for Litus is eligible for the 2020 Miami Film Festival Poster Award, presented by Oolite Arts.
